After WhatsApp, Truecaller and others have forayed in this highly lucrative business line, now it is the turn of giant Google to come up with its payment service called 'Google Tez'. The platform shall be more wider in scope in comparison to Android Pay or Google Wallet.
Google To Come Up With Google Tez- Its Payment Platform
The localized digital payment is expected to be launched as early as next week in the Indian subcontinent. The payment service shall be well compatible with government launched UPI or Unified Payments Interface and other wallet services such as\ Mobikwallet or Paytm.
Tez, meaning fast in Hindi, will include support for the government-backed Unified Payments Interface (UPI) and other consumer payment services including Paytm and MobiKwik, according to the report. Android Pay has now been in the US for move two years now. Google, WhatsApp etc had talks with NPCI or National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) for providing UPI backed payment services on its platform.
