As a recent move to provide the most sought ease, the department of Income tax has now come up with an online chat service for faster query resolution of taxpayers. The window has been hosted on the home page of the department's website Income tax department launches 'online chat' service to answer taxpayers' queries. Additional features shall be included to the facility to enhance its utility on the basis of the feedback provided by different stakeholders.
Online Chat Service To Solve Tax Queries: Income Tax Dept
The facility has been detailed under the icon Live Chat Online. Not much details are sought by the department and with a simple entry of your e-mail id, you shall be able to log in the department's chat window.
As a precautionary stance, the initial phase before getting ahead with the chat says, "The replies are based on the opinion of the expert and in no manner it should be interpreted as the clarification by the Income-tax Department on any matter."

Click on the “Options ”, it opens up the settings page,
Here click on the “Privacy & Security” options listed on the left hand side of the page.
Scroll down the page to the “Permission” section .
Here click on the “Settings” tab of the Notification option.
A pop up will open with all listed sites, select the option “ALLOW“, for the respective site under the status head to allow the notification.
Once the changes is done, click on the “Save Changes” option to save the changes.
