India Jumps 30 places To 100th Rank In ‘Ease Of Doing Business’ Index

India jumped 30 places in the World Bank's 'Ease of Doing Business rankings' as efforts by the government to ease norms and push through reforms are paying off.

"India stands out this year as one of the 10 economies that improved the most in the areas measured by doing business," the World Bank's Doing Business 2018 report said. At 100, India still is someway from acheiving its potential in an assessment of 190 countries.

The latest report may come as relief to the government, which has come under fire for handling of the economy.
