HDFC Bank Revises Minimum Average Monthly Balance Requirement For Savings Account

HDFC bank after making RTGS and NEFT transactions free has yet again made a revision for minimum average monthly requirements for its elite customer segment.

For its classic customer segment, HDFC bank has revised the requirement in respect of maintaining minimum average monthly balance to Rs. 1 lakh in a savings account or accounts as against the earlier requirement to maintain a minimum average quarterly balance of Rs. 1 lakh. A minimum average monthly balance of Rs. 5 lakh is required to be maintained in a savings account and fixed deposit combination account. The new norm shall be effective from December 9 this year.

This has come after the private sector lender made fund transfer transactions using NEFT and RTGS free from November 1, 2017.

To its classic customers and their family members, HDFC Bank offers a range of preferentially priced products as well as specialized investments. A dedicated personal banker is appointed to look after all the financial needs of the bank's premium customer. Also, the classic tag with the bank waives off charges in respect of several services.
