The inclusion of logistics wing of the supply chain which increase the costs by many bounds in the Infra sector is cheered by the sector. The development is likely to give players in the sector access to easy and cheaper finance.

On Monday the sector has been given the status of a seb-sector of infrastructure in the country.

With this the scrips within the pack have moved by upto 4% on the BSE.

The ministry said that the logistics companies can now avail infrastructure lending at easier terms with enhanced limits, access to larger amounts of funds as External Commercial Borrowings, longer tenor funds from insurance companies and pension funds, and also be eligible to borrow from India's IIFCL.

The companies In the pack include VRL logistics, Aegis Logistics etc.
