After your returns from the EPF contributions are set for a hike and also early redemption of allotted ETF units shall be allowed by the pension regulator, another change is likely to favour the working class. The change would allow the working force to link their Aadhaar with the 12 digit UAN number even before joining the job.

Another Favourable Change In EPF: Aadhaar linked UAN Even For Job Seekers

The Unique Account Number for provident fund came into existence in the year 2014 to link all the identification numbers pertaining to EPF account such that EPF subscribers are rendered at ease. UAN i.e a must for making contribution towards EPF also allows the subscriber to avail all the EPF related services.

The step has already gained ground even for those who are yet to enter the job market and with it PF contributions shall be a possibility from day one of the job.

Also, with it the hassle of an employer to register all of the new joinee's in the PF system it will simultaneously make the working class more conscious of the need for this saving for later years.
