Salil Parekh To Take Over As Infosys CEO From Today

Salil Parekh will take charge as CEO of the over $10 billion dollars company Infosys on 2 January 2018, reported PTI. With this new development, the company looks to bring back focus on revenue growth and business strategy under the new leadership.

During this period of transition, Infosys to set announce its third quarter financials on January 12.

Parekh, 53, is said to have experience in handling multi-cultural work environment and has a strong grip on technology and sales. He has been described as soft-spoken yet determined and was chosen from over two dozen candidates who were short-listed for the role in the last 3 months.

He is a former Capgemini executive with experience in building IT firm's operations in India.

Parekh will work with non-executive Chairman and co- founder Nandan Nilekani, who was brought in to steady the ship after the resignation of Sikka and other board members, including the then Chairman R Seshasayee, reported PTI.
