15 Kgs Gold Smuggled From Myanmar Seized
In an official statement, DRI (Directorate of Revenue Intelligence) on January 11th revealed the seizure of 15 kgs of gold, worth Rs 4.55 crore smuggled from Myanmar by two Manipuri men.

90 bars of gold were illegally brought through Indo-Myanmar border in Manipur in a Balero.
The men arrested have been identified as Chongtham Nehru Singh and Aaron Wangkheirakpam. Both are Imphal residents are were arrested in Bamunimaidam area said the DRI in its statement.
The DRI has seized a total of 253 kgs of gold, valued at Rs 75 crore until now for the financial year 2017-18 which and were smuggled from Bangladesh, Bhutan, and Burma. It was seized in areas across West Bengal and north-eastern states.
