South Korea said today that its plan to ban cryptocurrency exchanges is still under talks as the authorities decide on how to regulate the virtual coin market. On 11th of January, the country's justice minister said that its government was working on a bill to ban cryptocurrency.
Today, an official at the Office for Government Policy Coordination told a news conference that ban is one of the measures that will be taken under consideration by the government, but the decision was yet to be finalized.
South Korea has been facing problems with uncontrolled virtual currency trade practices in its exchanges after an increase in daily volume trade. Its top exchanges were raided last week for information on the same.
