The Centre has plans to divest its stake in the national carrier Air India by 2018 end. Jayant Sinha, Minister of State for Civil Aviation said that the group will be divested into four different entities and the information memorandum shall be issued.
On Friday, the minister said that the winning bidders are planned to be selected by the June of 2018 and the 4 entities shall be handed-out by the December of 2018. He further disclosed that one of the foreign airline has shown interest in Air India.
