Aster DM Healthcare's Initial Public Offering (IPO) was over-subscribed 1.27 times on its final day of subscription. The IPO was aimed to raise Rs 980 crore and received bids for 4.74 crore shares today as against issue size of 3.73 crores.

The company had already raised Rs 294 crore out of Rs 980 crore from anchor investors last Friday.

Aster DM Healthcare was started in 1987 as a single clinic by Dr. Azad Moopen. It now has a global network of 19 hospitals, 98 clinics and 206 pharmacies operating in 7 Indian cities, the Middle East countries and the Philippines. As of September 2017, the company had 17,408 employees including 1,417 full-time doctors.

Its equity shares are proposed to be listed on BSE and NSE.
