To make its operations paperless and hence efficient for its subscribers, the EPFO has made it mandatory that all PF withdrawal claims above Rs. 10 lakhs should be made via the online made.

Also under the pension scheme 1995, the govt has mandatory to make claims over Rs. 5 lakh through online claim application. In the current practice, subscribers can choose either of the two modes is physical or online application mode to get the PF claim processed and hence settled.

The decision to this effect was taken in a PF body meet on January 17, 2018.

Also, before making the online application, ensure that you have an active UAN number together with bank account seeded and verified to your PF account.
