Air India on Tuesday to celebrate International Women's Day celebration that falls on March 8 made an announcement of operating all-women crew flights on several of the domestic and international routes.

These all-women crew flights shall be en-route to all the US cities in which the airline operates including Chicago, Newark, New York, San Francisco and Washington DC. Additionally the flights will operate for other destinations including Singapore, Frankfurt and Milan. Also, some of the local destinations shall also be covered as part of the celebration by an all-women flight.

For the flights, the employees will use a range of narrow and wide body aircraft. In the all-women crew operated flights, primarily all of the work which ranges from check-in staff, cockpit to cabin crew, commercial staff, ground operators, to flight dispatchers, safety and audit checks is carried on by women workforce.

The airline also said that additionally a series of such creative and cultural events shall be organized throughout its network of March 8.
