In the first of its kind initiative, the Indian Oil Corporation Limited begins with the home delivery of fuel i.e Petroleum and Explosives Safety Organisation (PESO)-approved doorstep delivery of diesel.

On March 15, the company said that the delivery drive at the doorstep has already started off in Pune, Maharashtra. Soon the facility shall be extended all across the nation and the planning for the same is currently underway.
So, this new feather in the cap of IOCL will largely benefit its customers who can now skip fuel stations to get "Fuel at doorstep" thereby enhancing customer experience.
The aim through such a facility is to reduce unnecessary queuing at the fuel pumps and biggest beneficiaries are expect to be vehicle owners from remote locations and fleet owners.
"Using the technological advancements in the IT & Telecom Sector we will soon be starting online home delivery of Diesel & Petrol," Pradhan, Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas tweeted September 27, 2017.
Though cost of fuel and other details including the process through which the scheme will work, cost for home delivery of fuel as also timeline for delivery are not disclosed as yet.
