As per the union leader, the banks will not have 5 continuous holidays starting Thursday. Though for Thursday and Friday of this week, banks will remain closed due to Mahavir Jayanti and Good Friday respectively.

But Saturday i.e March 31, 2018, the banks will remain open as it is the fifth Saturday of the month. And banks are closed on second and fourth Saturdays of a month.

There were concerns around the issue that on the day of financial year closing,banks may remain closed as the year end closing falls on Saturday.

On April 2, banks will remain closed for the annual closing of accounts.
