Non-Subsidised LPG Cylinder To Cost Less By Rs. 35

In a relief to consumers, the OMCs or oil marketing companies have decreased the price of non-subsidised LPG cylinder by Rs. 35.50. For the subsidized LPG cylinder, the rates have been brought down by Rs. 1.74. The non-subsidised 14.2 kg gas cylinder shall be available for Rs 653.50 in Delhi in comparison to the earlier Rs. 689 while the subsidized one will be available for Rs. 491.35 in comparison to Rs. 493.09. The revised rates shall come into effect from April 1, 2018.

Non-Subsidised LPG Cylinder To Cost Less By Rs. 35

The rates have also been slashed for 5kg and 19kg commercial LPG cylinder by Rs. 15 and Rs. 54 respectively.

This is the second time LPG cylinder price is being reduced in less than a month after a reduction in international pricing early March had led to a similar fall.

Currently, households in the country are entitled to avail 12 LPG cylinders in a year at a subsidized rate. Any requirement above this has to be met by making purchase at market rate or non-subsidised LPG rates.

Meanwhile, OMCs raised diesel and petrol prices today on the back of global rally in crude oil price. Petrol price in Delhi hit a 4-year high of Rs. 73.83 per litre while at the same time diesel surged to record high levels of Rs 64.69 a litre.
