Petrol Prices Hit 4 Year High; Diesel Prices at All Time High
In Delhi, petrol prices hit a 4 year high of Rs 73.73 a litre and diesel was at an all-time high of Rs 64.58 per litre.

State-owned oil firms have raised their prices by 18 paise per litre each yesterday in Delhi as per a notification.
The price of petrol had hit the highest at Rs 76.06 on September 2014. Petrol price today is the highest since then.
Diesel prices had hit the highest today at Rs 64.69, since Rs 64.22 as on February 7, 2018.

India's retail petrol and diesel rates are among the highest among South Asian countries as atleast half of the rates account for taxes.
Since June 2017, state-owned oil companies - Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation have adopted a daily price revision system to instantly reflect changes in cost. Since then, prices are revised on a daily basis.
