Petrol & Diesel Prices Rise Again; Reach New Highs
Petrol and Diesel prices break records with increase in prices six days in a row.
Petrol, as well as Diesel prices experience an increase again today.
Since Sunday, petrol prices have been above its 4 year high level in Delhi at Rs 73.95, whereas diesel has reached an all-new high at Rs 64.82. According to Indian Oil's chart, price of non-branded petrol increased by 11 to13 paise per litre in the metro cities of India and diesel was up by 13 to 14 paise. Oil marketing firms in India revise their prices every day at 6 am.
Petrol had reached the price of Rs 76 per litre in September 2013, today has been petrol's highest rate since then.

Global crude oil prices, rupee-dollar exchange rates and taxes (both central and state government) are responsible for the rise in price. Petrol and Diesel do not come under Goods and Service Tax (GST).
