On Monday, Airtel launched its first 300Mbps broadband plan for a monthly rent of Rs 2,199. It is designed especially for the FTTH (Fiber-To-the-Home) service subscribers and offers 1200GB ultra-high-speed data, including unlimited local and STD calling facility.

In a statement, George Mathen, CEO - Homes, Bharti Airtel said, "Following the resounding success of our V-Fiber home broadband offering, we are delighted to introduce the new FTTH based plans for customers looking for higher speeds. Fixed broadband continues to be the preferred in-home mode for customers to consume online digital content and the average usage per home is growing at a breakneck speed. With this in mind, we will plan to expand our FTTH offerings over the coming days and provide our customers the choice of home broadband plans across a wide range of price points and speeds."

The subscribers of the 300 Mbps home plan will also get a free subscription to Wynk Music, Airtel TV and Amazon Prime. Airtel was offering the free Amazon Prime subscription to other subscribers as well.

The plan in addition includes data rollover benefits (which allows you to carry forward your used data to the next month), Airtel Surprise and myHome Rewards. In addition, if you purchase the plan online, you will receive 1 TB bonus data which will be valid till 31 October.
