Aadhaar Verification Advantages

You can only book 6 tickets a month using one User ID. Aadhaar verified accounts can book 12 tickets a month, provided, one of the travellers is Aadhaar verified.

Time Consideration

You can only book two tickets between 8 am and 12 pm. "Quick book" facility (single page for ticket booking) is not available during this time. You can login into one session at a time only, which means that you cannot login into two different IDs on the same system simultaneously.

Page will now be time sensitive. Captcha input during login or payment should be made within 5 seconds. Irrespective of the number of passengers, details have to be filled in 25 seconds. The payment page will log out in 10 seconds.

Additional security

The page will include a security question after login apart from captcha input.
OTP system has been made mandatory for all the bank payments using net banking.

Travel agents cannot book tickets between:

• 8:00 am to 8: 30 am
• 10:00 am to 10:30 am
• 11:00 am to 11:30 am

This is 30 minutes after the slot of reservations open. In order to prevent cornering of tickets and traffic, especially in the case of thatkal, this change has been made.

Tatkal Booking

• Only one tatkal ticket can be booked in one session except return ticket.
• Only 2 tickets can be booked between 10 am and 12 pm per User ID.
• Only 2 tickets can be booked between 10 am and 12 pm per IP address.
