To counter Jio's recent cost-competitive plans, Airtel has launched Rs. 49 plan that offers 3GB 4G data with one day validity. The plan is however available for only select customers in select regions. So, before getting your mobile recharged with this plan, check its availability for your number.

In a similar price range, Jio for its Jio phone users offers 1GB data with 28 days validity while in its Rs. 52 plan, the company offers 1GB data for 7days.

The current offering for Rs. 49 is more competitive as it offers 3GB 4G data as against the earlier 1GB 3G or 4G data for 28 days.

The recharge can be done either through the company's website or its mobile app.
In the earlier offer, the customers who upgraded to a 4G phone were offered 30GB data; 1GB on a daily basis free of cost.

The telcom leader is set to announce its fourth quarterly earnings for the year ended 2018 with losses.
