Vedanta Ltd the Indian subsidiary of Vedanta Resources Plc, announced that pursuant to provisions of regulation 30 of listing regulations, the Company has incorporated, a wholly owned subsidiary.

It is named as Vedanta Star Limited. Vedanta Star Limited comes into existence with effect from April 23, 2018.

Vedanta Star Limited has a paid-up share capital of Rs. 5,00,000, which is divided into 50,000 equity shares of Rs10 each.

On April 16, 2018, Vedanta Resources Plc announced the appointment of Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and a member of the Board of Directors, effective from August 31, 2018.

Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan succeeds Kuldip Kaura, the current Interim CEO of the company.
