Infosys said the company plans to set up its biggest campus outside India in Indianapolis in the US. The company has already ramped up its expansion plans with local hiring. The announcement concerning this is to be made on Thursday afternoon, Indianapolis local time.

The IT bellwether in March set up a technology and innovation facility in Indianapolis which is the capital city of the Indiana state. Currently, the hub operates out of OneAmerica Tower in the city. Outside India, till now the Bengaluru based company had plans to set up such a campus in Shanghai, China.

Mysore campus spread in 350 acre area is the largest campus for the company while the Bengaluru campus is 81 acres widespread.

The regulatory pressure is pushing outsourcing companies in India to boost up their local presence in the US and built such innovation centres there. All companies in the domain including Wirpo, TCS and HCL are stepping up their local hiring.

Earlier, Infosys announced that it had 2500 US employees to its workforce and plans to add 10,000 employees over the two years time.
