PC Jeweller

This stock has slumped once again in trade and is down almost 16 per cent, after plunging from levels of Rs 240 to Rs 118, in just three trading sessions. The stock had hit a high of as much as Rs 600.

The management of the company has clarified that nothing material has changed for the company in the last few days. In fact, the company says that store expansion and footfalls continue to be good. PC Jeweller has announced a "buyback" of shares, which has made no difference to the share price.

HCL Tech

The company announced its quarterly numbers, which were more or less flat. However, the results did not go down well with the markets and the stock fell by 2 per cent. HCL Technologies reported a net profit of Rs 2,227 crore for the fourth quarter of 2017-18 in a stock exchange filing.

Ashok Leyland

Shares of commercial vehicle Ashok Leyland managed to pare losses and was little changed at Rs 164.40 after its sales rose 79 percent in April. The company reported a sales of 12,677 units versus 7,090 units (YoY). This was much lower that most estimates, which resulted in some selling in the counter.

Tata Motors

Shares in Tata Motors gained more than 1 per cent, after the company reported a strong set of numbers for the month of April, 2018.

Shares of the Mumbai-based auto maker rose as much as 3 percent to Rs 350 after its commercial vehicle sales more than doubled in April.

Tata Motors registered a growth of 86 percent in auto sales for April at 53,511 units as against 28,844 units over last year. This was largely due to robust sales performance of its commercial and passenger vehicles business in the domestic market.
