Top Midcap, Small Cap and Large Cap Stocks That Gained This Week
The NSE (National Stock Exchange) benchmark index Nifty 50 made a fresh weekly high this, after last week's correction and has continued rallying. It was hovering in a narrow range of 10,636 to 10,766 last week. This week, however, started on a positive note, and the index hit a fresh high of 10,812.
The S&P BSE Sensex was up by 0.82 percent or 289.52 points to 35,535.79 and the NSE Nifty 50 index rose 0.84 percent or 89.95 points to 10,806.50 at closing.
The Indian equity benchmarks saw an upward movement ahead of Karnataka elections, both the benchmarks clocking their best gains in a month.
The election results of the 223 constituencies of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly which will decide the fate of the market for the next week.
Markets also welcomed the United States and North Korea's efforts to reduce geopolitical tensions amoung the countries. US President Donald Trump will meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore next month.
