NSE Embarks On Rebranding; May Introduce A New Logo
NSE, for the first time in its two-decade long operations, has decided to take on the re-branding exercise and may introduce a new logo for the exchange on the occasion of its silver jubilee that falls on August 8. The ceremony is to be attended by the President of India, Ram Nath Kovind.
The re-branding exercise by the NSE falls parallel to the occasion when India's leading bourse is also engaged in conducting initial due diligence for merger with the commodity bourse MCX. Multi-Commodity Exchange or MCX just like NSE is a leader in the commodity segment of the stock market.
On the occasion of the NSE's silver jubilee, the bourse may also come up with a coffee table book highlighting the history of the exchange since the start of its operations as well as the various milestones reached. On similar lines, BSE also introduced a coffee table book recently titled BSE, The Temple of Wealth Creation authored by the exchange's MD and CEO Ashish Chauhan and co-writer Archana Jain.
The amount that will be put to this re-branding exercise is not made known by the bourse. However, as per experts, re-branding will enable NSE to move past legacy issues amid algo-trading controversy and co-location issues.
