Diwali Muhurat Trading 2018: All You Should Know
The debt, equity and currency markets are closed on November 7 on account of Diwali festivities. However, NSE and BSE, India's leading stock exchanges, will conduct Muhurat trading on the auspicious occasion of Diwali on Wednesday evening. The special trading window will open between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. The pre-opening session will start at 5:15 pm.
During the session, orders in relation to all the segments including equities, equity derivatives F&O (futures & options) and currency derivatives can be placed.
In Tuesday's trading session Nifty ended higher by 0.06% or 6 points at 10,530 while Sensex gained 0.12% or 40.99 points and ended the day at 34,991.91.
The benchmark 10-year bond yield closed at 7.7967 per cent. Also rupee gained in session to close at 72.9950 per US dollar versus previous closing of 73.12.
The markets will also remain closed on November 8 on account of Diwali Balipratipada. Trading session will resume on Friday.
