RIL Becomes Most Valued Company; Pips TCS
In Friday's trade, Reliance Industries, oil to telecom conglomerate, pipped TCS to again bag the most valued firm title on the basis of market capitalization.
Shares of Reliance Industries in intra-day trade today opened at Rs. 1096.10 and made an intra-day high of Rs. 1129.30 on the BSE. At the time of market closing, the stock of RIL was quoting at Rs. 1127.50, up 2.79% against previous day's closing of Rs. 1096.9.
TCS opened the session at Rs. 1,889.90 and touched an intra-day high of Rs. 1898.55. The stock however ended the day at Rs. 1882.25, rising 0.90% against Thursday's closing price of Rs. 1865.50
On the BSE in the afternoon session, market capitalization of RIL stood at Rs 7,14,573.46 crore while that of country's leading IT company TCS came in at Rs 7,03,891.09 crore.
It was on August 31st this year that TCS reclaimed its most valued company status after pipping Reliance Industries.
