Diesel Now Selling At Its Lowest Price This Year
After an increase in price of petrol and diesel after about 2 months on Thursday, prices remained steady on Friday. But in today's trade, the diesel is now selling at its lowest price this year while petrol price has increased.
On October 4, petrol prices hit an all time high of Rs 84 per litre in Delhi and Rs 91.34 in Mumbai. On the same day, diesel also hit a record high of Rs 75.45 a litre in Delhi and Rs 80.10 in Mumbai.
Today diesel is priced at Rs. 64.50 in Delhi, Rs. 67.50 in Mumbai per litre. This is on the back of decline in price of international crude oil.
On Friday, in the international market benchmark crude oil softened in price after an increase the day before by more than 2%, on expectations more tightening amid supply cuts by producers.
