AIBOC strike is likely to hit banking services across the country with holidays extending to the next week given the Christmas festival and another strike call on December 26 by the UFBU, an umbrella body of the top nine bank unions.

AIBOC joint general secretary Ravinder Gupta said, "We have demanded wage revision based on the minimum wages formula without linking to profits or paying capacity."
