LPG Prices Reduced For Subsidized And Non-Subsidized Cylinders
As the new year 2019 begins, prices of 14.2 kg domestically used LPG cylinder prices have been reduced. Effective 1 January 2019, the rates of subsidized as well as non-subsidized LPG cylinders are lowered. While non-subsidized cylinder prices (14.2 kg) were cut by a significant Rs 120, the price cut in non-subsidized rates was a little over Rs 5 per cylinder.
As per the national fuel retailer IOC's website, here are the new rates for January 2019:

This is the second straight monthly price in LPG cylinder rates due to the depressed price in the international oil prices. In the last three months, global crude benchmark Brent has fallen from over $80 a barrel to $50/barrel levels. On 1 December, the price of subsidized cylinders was cut by a little over Rs 6. A stronger rupee against the dollar has also helped the common man save more.
The subsidy on LPG cylinders, provided to the extent of 12 cylinders per year per household, is directly credited to the bank account of the subscribers.
