Maruti Suzuki's Domestic Sales Rise 1.8% In December
Maruti Suzuki, the country's leading automobile manufacturer, reported 1.8% increase in total domestic sales with total sale of 1,21,479 units in the month of December.

Sales in the mini segment cars Alto and WagonR dropped 14% to 27,661 units while those in the compact category Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and DZire also declined 3.8% to 51,334 units.
For the month under review, sales of its new mid-size sedan Ciaz model however doubled to 4,734 units. Utility vehicle sales also registered a growth of 4.9% with sales of 20,225 units. This number is inclusive of sales of small commercial vehicle Super Carry whose total sale stood at 1,675 units.
In the van segment also there has been a growth in sales of 38.8% to 15,850 units.
Notably, total exports of the auto-manufacturer fell 36.4% to 6,859 units.
