Vande Bharat Express Tickets Sold Out For The Next 10 Days
Tickets to travel in the recently inaugurated fastest train in the country, Vande Bharat Express, has been sold out for the next 10 days according to a PTI report. It is the first ever locomotive less train in India that was built at the ICF (Integral Coach Factory) facility in Chennai.
The train had developed a snag during its inaugural run on Saturday traveling back from Varanasi to Delhi. The PTI report said that the officials had worked all day to fix the problem that occurred from the charging cable malfunction affecting the wheels of the train and brake system.
At 180 kmph, the Vande Bharat Express beats Gatiman Express (160 kmph) to become the fastest train in India. It was renamed from Train 18 to Vande Bharat Express and was inaugurated on 15 February by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The train will run for five days a week except on Monday and Thursday. According to officials, the train is 121 percent booked for Tuesday, 112 percent for Wednesday, 109 percent for Friday and 114 percent for Saturday. Similarly, from 24 February to 3 March, the train is booked 104 percent on average.
