On the back of Nifty Bank gaining the mark of 30,000 in Friday's morning session, shares from the sector have been trading higher.
Nifty Bank Hits 30,000 Mark For The First Time
Among the top performers or gainers in the index are banking stocks such as IDFC First Bank, RBL gain and Axis Bank that were all trading higher by 1-2%.
Other PSBs also traded higher such as Bank of Baroda, PNB. PNB in Wednesday's trade gained heavily after Nirav Modi has been arrested in London.
Nifty Bank index was trading 0.53 per cent up at 29,989.40 around 09:50 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down by 23.1 points at 11497.95 while the BSE Sensex was down 83.12 points at 38303.63.
