Delhi's IGI Airport Ranked As India's Best Airport
As per the Skytrax World Airport Awards for the seventh time in a row, Singapore's Changi Airport has bagged the crown of the world's best Airport whereas India's IGI airport stood at the 59th spot.
In the India context, though the aviation hub of IGI is the best followed by Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru airports.
As per the CNN report, the list has been compiled by a consultancy firm which operates an airport and airline review website that features as many as 100 airports.
The Skytrax World Airport Awards are voted for by customers in a global airport customer satisfaction survey.
"To be voted the World's Best Airport for the seventh consecutive year is a truly fabulous achievement for Changi Airport, and this award continues to underline the airport's popularity with international air travellers," Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax said.
On the other hand, Singapore Changi Airport has its main attraction of the rooftop swimming pool, two 24-hour movie theaters and shopping spots.
On the second spot is theTokyo International Airport (Haneda), which has also secured the title of the World's Best Domestic Airport and World's Cleanest Airport.
