In Friday's trade rupee opened higher even as dollar gaining heavily. The dollar is on course to record a steepest rise in 3 weeks time even as the concerns around waning global growth surface. Rupee appreciated as much as 0.23 percent to 69.18 against the greenback.

The gain in dollar is due to the reversal in US yield

The 10-year benchmark bond yield also gained as much as 0.0010 and stood at 7.324%.

Also, given the global cues Nifty is likely to begin the last day of the FY'19 on a flattish note.
