In a bid to provide relief, the government on Wednesday has extended the date to file final sales return for the month of March by another two days till April 13. The sales return is filed in form GSTR-1. Also, the TDS return form i.e. GSTR-7 for March can now be filed till April 12.

Earlier the due dates for both form GSTR-1 and GSTR-7 stood at April 11 and April 10, respectively.

In a notification, the CBIC said, "The details of outward supply of goods or services or both in Form GSTR-1 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Rules, 2017, for the month of March 2019 shall be furnished electronically through the common portal, on or before April 13, 2019".

The date has been extended after the report of some complaints by businesses who witnessed some issues while filing the GSTR-1 form. As per experts, even after months of GST roll-out, there are still glitches in the GSTN which is making compliance difficult.
