In the monthly revision, prices of LPG cylinders and Air Turbine Fuel (ATF) were increased on Wednesday, according to the data available on state-owned oil marketer Indian Oil Corporation Limited's (IOCL) website. While rates of subsidized LPG cylinders were raised by 28 paise, ATF prices saw over 2.5 percent increase. Rates of both the fuels are revised on the first of every month.
Subsidized LPG cylinder prices
Prices of subsidized 14.2 kg cylinders were hiked in all the metro cities across India by 28-29 paise.

Households in India are allowed purchases of 12 LPG cylinder per year at these subsidized rates. While these are purchased at full price at the time of purchase, the subsidy is credited to the customer's bank account by the government.
The subsidy varies each month based on the change in the pricing and tax rates. GST on these cylinders are calculated on the market rate of the cylinder.
Residents also have the choice of voluntarily adopting out of subsidy.
This is the third consecutive increase in LPG cylinder prices.
Non-subsidized LPG cylinder prices
Prices of non-subsidized 14.2 kg cylinders were also raised in all the metro cities across India by Rs 6.
