Indigo To Start 6 New Daily Flights From July
The no-frill air-carrier to mitigate the capacity crisis after Jet Airways has temporarily shut down its operations is reported to start with six new daily domestic flights from July this year. The flights will be from and to Kolkata effective July 20.
The airline added that it will have daily non-stop flights between Shillong Kolkata and Raipur-Kolkata routes. The company will operate in the new Kolkata-Shillong-Kolkata route as part of the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS).
We are strengthening our network from Kolkata with six new flights including a new RCS (Regional Connectivity Scheme) route. Kolkata-Shillong-Kolkata, our next RCS route, will significantly increase connectivity and tourist traffic in the northeast region, Chief Commercial Officer of IndiGo William Boulter said.
Earlier on May 14, the carrier announced sale offer on 10 lakh seats for travel between May 29 and September 28, 2019, for fares as low as Rs. 999 on domestic flights.
