Bitcoin Sinks 20% From Its 10-Month Peak Reached Earlier

After earlier reaching an almost 10-month peak, the most famous crypto Bitcoin fell a sharp 20% on Friday. The digital token sank as much as 20%, taking its price to as low as $6,178 at Bitstamp exchange.

This is almost 21.6% lower than its previous close.

The cryptocurrency last stood at a price of $7266, with gains of almost 7.8%.
And the reason for the precise fall in bitcoin's price can be attributed to gain of some 2000 smaller digital coins referred as Altcoins.

Bitcoin accounts for around just 60 % share of the total crypto market valued at $240 billion, down from nearly 90 %t over two years ago.
