The newly re-elected Modi government is likely to announce the budget for FY 2019-20 around July 10. As per what sources told the leading online business portal, the date shall be decided after the swearing-in ceremony and the new finance minister comes to take over the responsibility.

In the usual case, the task of presenting the full budget is completed by July 15 and this year too it shall be the same.

Interim Budget 2019 was tabled by interim finance minister Piyush Goyal who announced a relief package of Rs 75,000 crore under a new scheme PM Kisaan Samman Nidhi for distressed farmers.

Budget is likely to focus on agrarian issues to tackle the slowdown in consumption as well as relief farms of their distress.
