On Monday, the wealth management arm of Motilal Oswal launched a unique WhatsApp platform for mutual fund product for both its existing customer base as well as new clientele.

The one-of-its-kind initiative will enable mutual fund platform via the famous messaging app WhatsApp, already in use by millions in our country.

How does the new WhatsApp Mf platform work?

Investors via their registered number can engage in a transaction in i.e. buy a fund of their liking that is offered in the fund offering of the company. "Offering transactions on WhatsApp is our effort to try and be present wherever our investors might find it easier and convenient to be able to deal with us," said Aashish Somaiyaa, MD and CEO at Motilal Oswal AMC.

Both lump sum and SIP investments are possible over the platform. Also, in future course, some new features will enable customers to view their account statements as well as their service requirement needs would be addressed.

How to transact in mutual funds over WhatsApp?

1. Add Motilal AMC number to your contact list. The number is +91 9372205812.

2. On finding the same contact, in your WhatsApp list, send Hi to the above number.

3. After this, once you give in your PAN details, you will be able to carry out MF transactions and for completing the transaction a payment link is sent for the authorization of payment transaction.
