Modi 2.0 government in its very first Cabinet meet conducted soon after Cabinet portfolio allocation on Friday took decision in various areas including agriculture and education. After the meet of the Cabinet, Modi tweeted, "Glad that path-breaking decisions were taken in the cabinet, the first in this tenure. Hardworking farmers and industrious traders will benefit greatly due to these decisions".

And in its very first decision, Narendra Modi led government has boosted the education sector by deciding on increasing the amount that is paid under the Nationl Defence Fund for 'Prime Ministers Scholarship Scheme'.
For the boys, the scholarship amount has been increased to Rs. 2,500 per month from the earlier Rs. 2000 and for girls it has been increased to Rs. 3000 from Rs. 2,250 per month.
Also, now on the scheme shall also be included to wards of personnel in state police who have been martyred in war or naxalite attacks. The quota of new scholarship extended to wards of state police personnel will be 500 per year.
