As per the official data, even as the trade spat between the US and India has seen new dimension with India levying tariff on 28 US goods, it has surpassed China to become India's biggest trade partner for the FY19. For the earlier FY, China came to be the country's largest trading partner.

The imposition of higher tariffs on US exports has been done after the Washington withdrew beneficiary relationship held by India in respect of some of the Indian exports.
Other trade allies of India topping the chart include:

2. Saudi Arabia
3. Hong Kong
4. Singapore
5. Germany
6. Republic of Korea
7. India
Meanwhile, the US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had recently said that it is willng to resolve trade ties with India. Of all the US agricultural produce, India imports US almonds worth $543 million.
