Fed Reserve's meet that was largely eyed by investors and marketmen have held the rates steady while at the same time hinting at rate cuts in the future course.

Meanwhile, as against expectations, Indian indices opened lower, with Nifty below 11,700 and Sensex trading around 39,000.
