As per a report that cited sources, the US and China have given their consensus on a tentative truce in respect of the ongoing trade war situation between the 2 nations. This is done ahead of the G20 meet scheduled later in the week. Further as per the report, the truce set up can stop the levy of US tariffs on an additional $300 billion of Chinese goods.

Trump and Xi-Jinping is likely to hold a much anticipated meet in Osaka on Saturday to conduct trade talks.

On Wednesday, Trump said the resolution on the trade situation is expected to be reached as early as in the weekend. But in case of disagreement, the US will not shy away from imposing tariffs on all of the Chinese imports.
