On Saturday, the US and China agreed to resume trade talks and also on the sidelines it was decided that Washington will not levy additional tariffs on Chinese exports. With these hopes now are that trade issues between the two economies are set to be resolved.

"We're right back on track and we'll see what happens," U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters after meeting Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines G20 meet in Japan.

A year-long trade dispute between US and China has afflicted global economies with slower growth and at the same time disrupted global supply lines.

Further, China's foreign ministry officials said that negotiators of the 2 nations will discuss specific issues but provided no details. Before the meet, the US had threatened to impose tariffs on all of the goods imported from China if the meeting did not progressed on expected lines.
