As per sources, the Hyderabad-based Rajiv Gandhi International Airport has introduced face recognition (FR) for entering the aerodrome for passengers on a trial basis.

The trial which is part of the Digi Yatra programme has been initiated from July 1 and will continue until July 3. Further as per the sources, nearly 180 passengers enrolled themselves for going through the trial process.
"The airport has set up dedicated FR Registration counters near the Domestic Departure Gates No 1 and 3. The passengers who want to check the process can voluntarily register for the service between 8 am to 8 pm.
Through the face recognition methodology, the passengers will be automatically processed basis the facial recognition system at check points including entry point check, entry in to the security check, aircraft boarding in addition to the self-bag drop and check in.

A pop up will open with all listed sites, select the option “ALLOW“, for the respective site under the status head to allow the notification.
Once the changes is done, click on the “Save Changes” option to save the changes.
