As per Manulife Asset Management Singapore Pte, the foreign investors looking to make good money cannot ignore the Indian equities markets given the countries' ranking among the strongest worldwide.
So far, foreign investments to the tune of over $11 billion have found its way into the Indian markets on positive hopes that post the elections there remains ample scope for economic reforms which government will push forth.
In an interview in Mumbai, the company's managing director of Indian equities said, "As China faces uncertainty after the trade war, money now needs to find a market which is large and growing, and India is among them". Further he added, India's adding a few trillion dollars to the economy and that's how it obviously generates interest."
Stock market outlook
Even though May GDP figures have been a dampener, stock indices are again set to hit the record levels attained last month. And India as it fulfills 4 of the important look outs for any country to consider investment including government stability, domestic demand, lower interest rate situation and no populist spending, it qualifies as a good investment opportunity.
