Railway Budget 2019: Railway Infra Needs Investment Of Rs. 50 Lakh Crore Between 2018-2030
In her first Union Budget announcement, NIrmala Sitharaman said that Railway infra would need an investment of Rs 50 lakh crore between 2018 and 2030.
Further, dedicated freight corridors or DFCs will enable decongestion of the mainline railway network, providing faster transportation to passengers of behemoth Indian Railways. And with this passengers can look forward to punctual, faster and safer trains.
So, focus will remain on modernization and safety of railway infrastructure will remain the mainstay. And upgradation of the ageing and old infrastructure will be important for Indian Railways.
